Entry/Exit Requirements

Your passport must be valid for three months beyond the date of departure from French Polynesia. You do not need a visa if you enter on a regular tourist passport and your stay is no more than 90 days every six months.  If the purpose of your trip is not tourism (work, scientific research, etc), then you may still be required to get a visa before your departure for French Polynesia.  If you are traveling as a tourist, you must be in possession of a return ticket.  French Polynesia officials may require the purchase of a non-refundable ticket upon arrival if a you do not already possess a return ticket. The U.S. Department of State is unaware of any HIV/AIDS entry restrictions for visitors to or foreign residents of French Polynesia.
