About Us

Before building The Visa Experts, I spent several years at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) working on the technology behind border control and passport processing. As Technical Product Manager for YVR's proprietary BORDERXPRESS® Automated Passport Control kiosk platform, I oversaw the deployment of thousands of kiosks at dozens of airports and seaports around the world and led development of a biometric fingerprint and photo verification process built to meet U.S. Customs and Border Protection standards.

That work put me on the inside of how governments actually process travelers, verify documents, and enforce entry requirements — not just the paperwork, but the systems and standards behind it. The Visa Experts grew out of that experience: a place to bring the same kind of rigor to publicly available visa and entry-requirement information, so travelers can find clear, current answers in one place instead of piecing them together from a dozen embassy websites.

What We Do

The Visa Experts publishes visa and entry-requirement information for every country, official government visa approval and refusal statistics sourced directly from issuing government bodies (not third-party estimates), and ongoing coverage of visa and immigration policy news as it happens.

How We Keep It Accurate

Visa requirements change often, and getting them wrong has real consequences — a missed flight, a denied entry, a wasted application fee. Every country page on this site shows a “Last verified” date so you know how current the information is. Our Visa Statistics pages cite the specific government report and publication date each figure comes from, and are cross-checked against that issuing body's own published headline figures before going live. Our news coverage draws from official government sources — including UK Visas and Immigration, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, and the U.S. Department of State — alongside established industry publications, reviewed before publishing.

That said, visa rules can and do change without notice, and vary by nationality and individual circumstances.
